A Christians View On Gay Marriage

June 28, 2015

I want to preface this by saying that I am not anti christian, anti gay or anti freedom. I hold to the basic anarchist idea of freedom. I have seen so many posts from christians that I felt I needed to express how I truly feel about the matter.

The evangelical church is completely to blame for the passing of the gay marriage proposal. I know that is a bold statement to make, but hear me out.

They are to be held responsible because they continue to vote for a corrupt, man made, evil system and corporation. They believe that they can bring a Godly nation to the people by inviting ungodly men into office. This system never worked and will never work and instead of finding a different way to make a change, they continue to punch their ballot, proudly I might add, every 2 to 4 years and bitch when nothing changes. The church is comprised of cowards that rely on the states money, so they wont do kingdom work the way God intended them to, for fear of losing tax exemptions.

Think of marriage as well. It has been a statist insitution for far longer than anyone realizes. As much as they want to believe that marriage is a holy union, they refuse to marry people without proper certification and without acknowledging the state. The power, they assert, is invested in them by the state, not God. That makes them just as accountable as those marrying gay couples. They support the same broken institution.

Folks, when it comes to choosing the lesser of two evils, I prefer to choose none at all. I believe that the church will be held accountable for their sinful actions, namely supporting such an evil system, one they know all too well is evil, but refuse to do anything about it. They continue to vote because they think it is their God give right, when it’s not. It’s their God given right to go out and defy opposition, not work within it’s frame, to spread the gospel using love and grace.

James 4:17 – If, Therefore, to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin, then those voting for evil should be held accountable for their actions just as much so as the sinners they point their fingers at.
