Beauty Is Not In The Eye of the Beholder

February 21, 2013

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

This saying is not necessarily true. If you cannot see your self worth, then no one else ever will . True beauty is not what is seen on the outside. The world’s most beautiful people could have a heart filled with hate. Beauty is helping others, beauty is up lifting, sharing, loving the unloveable.  Beauty is listening more then you speak. Beauty is smiling at the ones others laugh at. Beauty is standing up for your rights as well as the rights of others. Beauty is trying even if you end up failing because it shows you put forth an effort. Beauty is continuing to pursue your dreams even after you fail the first time. Beauty is knowing that each day is a blessing and living each day as the blessing you were designed to be. Beauty is not just seen, its felt, its shared, its a feeling within your soul. The next time you look into the mirror and do not feel beautiful, look into the reflection of your soul. Know that beauty is not about being “pretty” , beauty is your soul shining bright, your heart filled with love and compassion. True beauty is felt not seen. If someone has something negative to say about you , they do not understand the true meaning of love. They are vain, shallow, and judgemental. Beauty is being stronger than their words, and you are beautiful.
